Theater News and Announcements
Attention everyone! The following props are needed for the musical:
Vintage type writers 1920 style (need 6)
Candle stick phones (need 7)
Pesticide spray guns (need 2)
If you have any of these items that we can borrow, please contact Mike Reiff or Art Winter.
We need your help!
There will be tech work calls from 7-10pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week (Jan. 10,11,12), and beginning at 9am on Saturday (Jan. 14).
Any and all help is appreciated from both students and adults!
Online ticket sales for Thoroughly Modern Millie will begin on Tuesday, January 10, for Spotlighters members only.
Online sales to the general public will be available beginning Monday, January 16.
Tickets will be sold on the bridge during lunch the week of the show, Jan. 23-27.
TICKET PRICES:
Regular: $10 (adults or out-of-district students)
West student: one free with activity pass
Shawnee Mission student: $3
Spotlighters Angel: two free
Spotlighters Patron: one free
West faculty/staff: one free
Senior with Gold card: one free
Any unpaid “will call” tickets will be released 20 minutes before curtain time for sale to those waiting in line. Any free tickets reserved in advance must also be claimed at least 20 minutes before curtain time.
The students going to the Kansas Thespians conference this weekend will leave after their 4th block class on Thursday. Students may want to bring breakfast food (such as pop tarts) with them - lunches and dinners will be provided at the conference. They will need money for lunch on the way to the conference and dinner on the way back. Students should arrive at West Saturday evening around 8:00pm.
The deadline for family ads for the musical program is fast approaching! You need to have your forms in by this Friday, December 16. Business ads are due by January 6. For more information, see the Program Ads page.
Head on over to Chick-fil-A near Oak Park Mall on Thursday (12/8) and tell them you're from SM West when you order your meal! A percentage of the sales will go to SM West to help fund the musical.
Come one, come all to the work call this Saturday! There is a lot of building that needs to get done for Millie, so all adults and students are welcome (as always) to come and help! Work call begins at 9am and will end when the work is done. Drop by when you can. Contact Michael Reiff or Art Winter for more information.
Everyone head to Papa Murphy's in either Lenexa or Overland Park on Wednesday, November 30, and eat pizza to support SM West theater! Money raised will benefit the musical production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. YOU MUST TELL THEM YOU ARE WITH SM WEST THEATER!
